John Hilton | Manager

Born and Raised in Nampa Idaho, graduated from Nampa High School in 1992. Married and currently lives in Kuna with an amazing wife and three beautiful children. Throughout my entire life, I have enjoyed the outdoors and playing sports. After high school, I went to college on baseball scholarships and majored in Law Enforcement.

After returning from college, I started working with a very good friend at Das-co of Idaho and that was the start of my career in utility construction. During my career at Das-co of Idaho, I started as a reserve deputy at Canyon County Sherriff Office graduated the POST academy and became a patrol deputy. I had a wonderful career at Das-co of Idaho and was fortunate to learn from great mentors throughout the years that taught me a lot of what got me to this point in my life.

In 2003 I was approached to help start a new company – Track Utilities Inc. It was truly life changing to help create such a successful company and create lifelong relationships with coworkers and customers. During my tenure at Track, I worked my way from Crew Foreman, Superintendent, Manager, Director of Power Operations and eventually Vice President of Power division. I received my Journeyman Lineman (underground) Certificate in 2017 through Northwest Lineman’s College.

Owning and Operating my own business has always been a passion for me and after years of hard work June 22, 2020 Rocky Mountain Underground LLC. was created along side Jake Hale who is a very dedicated and talented individual.

Jake Hale | Manager

Born and Raised in Nampa Idaho, graduated from Kuna High School in 2004. Married and currently lives in Nampa with High school sweetheart and two amazing and beautiful children. I have always enjoyed sports, the outdoors and of course running equipment.

Once out of high school I went straight into Linework attending the Northwest Lineman College September 2004 to December 2004. After graduation I was fortunate enough to get a position with Track Utilities Inc. February 2005. During my tenure at Track Utilities I learned so much –  from hand pushing secondary services, being a laborer on multiple trenching and pulling crews, running equipment and my own crew, moving from the field to the office as a supervisor managing crews, to becoming the General Manager over the Power Division.

I am very focused and driven in the power and excavation industry. I received my Journeyman Lineman (Underground) Certificate in 2017. In June of 2020 I joined John Hilton in starting Rocky Mountain Underground LLC.
